+ AFTER SHOOT QUESTIONS

AFTER YOUR PHOTOSHOOT. Q&A

  • Two days after we shoot I will send you a link to your photos. From there you can download all of them. And forward that link to your Agents, Family, Friends, Landlords, whomever you wish!

  • YES! Every. Single. Photo. Is. Yours!

You will receive all of your photos we took on your shoot day. You will receive your photos 2 days after shooting. You get all of the photos we took during your photoshoot All of them are High Resolution. No water marks. And they are ready for greatness and yours to do whatever you want with!

If you want any of those photos edited (which is not mandatory) once you email me your selects my turn around is anywhere from 2 days to 5 days depending on the work load but I’m pretty quick. With edits you get one photo included (that is one photo on the house and not one photo per look) after the free edit, any additional edits are $35 each. Again it’s not mandatory. I’d say a little over half the clients I have choose to get photos edited.

  • When we are wrapping up our shoot I will let you know the exact time that you should have your photos by. If that time passes, please text me. Let me know that you haven't received your photos yet.

This means they are most likely lost in cyber space.

You will never been in the dark about when you will get your photos. You don’t need to assume I’m busy, or I’ll get around to it later. If I need more time to work on your photos after we shoot than expected, I will email you and you will be the first to know that there is a delay. I haven’t had to do this yet, but I can’t say I will never have to do this in the future!

So, if there isn’t an email by the exact time and day I told you they will be in your inbox, I want you to text me and tell me they didn’t make it to you. That way I can immediately fix the issue and get them to you asap. (even if you don’t technically need them asap!) I want you to have them asap.

I send these albums with the intention of you receiving them. I want to know if you didn’t get them!

Note: this rarely happens. In fact, an album getting lost in cyber space has only happened once. But I’m very diligent in how I run this process. After it happened once, I never wanted it to happen again!

I want you to have these photos!

  • You do! I’ll send them to you, and you can forward them the email that you received from me. Your agents will pick the photos that best represent you and let you know which ones they want you to use for LA Casting.

They may not be your personal favorites, but your agents have a plan of action for you in the selection process, so be smart and trust them. The good thing is, you can post whatever you want on your own social media pages. And knowing casting goes there as well to check you out even more, they’ll still see your favorite photos.

  • You can try, but they know what my albums look like and how many photos I usually take and will probably just ask you for the rest of them. Keep in mind, your agents want the best for you. They want you to work. If you make money, they make money. So don’t let this process defeat you just because you don’t think they saw the “best” photo of you. Trust that they have the BEST intentions for their selections of your photos. And they believe in these selected photos.

  • NO! I pay a boat load for storage space so you can keep your album as long as the internet is alive and well.

BUT as I tell ALL of my clients. DOWNLOAD EVERY SINGLE PHOTO AND BACK UP YOUR INVESTMENT! You paid a lot of money for these photos and I would hate it if the server I use goes down, or gets sick, or the service I pay to store photos goes out of business and goes where ever servers go to die. My hard drives break all the time and I would just be so sad if you lost your photos. SO BACK THEM UP and use the album I send you for your convenience. It's a beautiful album where everything is laid out for you and you don't have to download them individually to view them. You can favorite the ones you love and keep them organized, etc. It's really cute.

But... Don't press your luck. Keep them safe somewhere else as well just in case!

  • You do receive one edit on the house. I usually tell my clients if they are on the fence about paying for edits, they can use their free edit to see what I do with an edit and if you want more you can always pay for more.

Basically an edit is an all over clean up and pop of a single photo that you choose to edit. (Sometimes clients get the photos edited that their agent wants for LA Casting and booking purposes, but it's your choice and not mine).

I'll clean up fly-aways, fix wardrobe issues if I can, shape light to make your face the main focus, and all around just spruce it up. Edits are not mandatory. They are your own personal preference. If you like the photo as is, you don't need to feel pressured to buy edits.

If you decide that you want to purchase more edits you can always pay as you go. Again, I take virtual payments for deposits, edits, and shoot days, so you are not obligated to pay for your edits up front on your shoot date. You can decide whenever! Even a year later!

  • You sure can! Edits don’t expire. There is also no rush on my end to get your photos edited. At any point that you want them edited I can edit them for you.

The free edit does not expire.

  • Payment wise: If you are paying for additional edits I will need the virtual payment before I get started on the edits.

These are the directions on how to get me your selection for the photos you want edited:

If it’s your free or paid for selections, I will need the following info from you to insure I am editing the correct photo:

Please send me the category the photo is in. Plus the exact file number located in your album:

It should read like this example:

Usually it’s a date, initials, and a number

    COMMERCIAL: 6-17-21-LN-167.jpg

    FITNESS: 6-17-21-LN-287.jpg

    GROWN: 6-17-21-LN-572.jpg

When in doubt you can all include a screenshot of the photo with the file number at the bottom of the photo to double insure I have the correct ones.

Please DO NOT email just screenshots of the photos you want edited. That leads to a whole mess of trying to match the photos up and 9/10 times I’ll get it wrong!

After I receive that I will get on the edits and let you know as soon as they are finished.

NOTE: if your file number looks like: IMG_1234.jpg that is incorrect and usually means that you downloaded it to your iphone or cloud based iphoto and the phone/computer has made a different file number for the photo. That file number will not match any of my records and I will direct you back to the album to give me the correct file number.

  • I’d like to say to give it a week. I usually let you know an expected time if I am busy. But I try to make my turn around pretty speedy. And if it’s a slow editing week, I can usually get them to you two days later.

  • If you are in a rush for your edit please let me know in the email asking about the edit and I will see if I can bump you to the top of the editing list. Sometimes you can get them back quickly, but I also travel for work for big shoots and may not be able to get around to it for a few days. So please just try to get them done ahead of time.

However in some situations, if you book a shoot with me and you know you have something that you need that photo for and were very clear with me about that in your booking process I will honor my rushed edit because we planned it out in advance!

I'm absolutely willing to work with you and your schedule but understand these things take time!

  • I can suggest some places to get your headshots printed, but it’s the same places that your agents ask you to get them printed. I’m not very involved in the printing part of the process so that’s kind of on you!

  • I see this a lot especially with mom’s trying to print their kid’s photos from our shoot.

If this happens please email me and I will email you back a quick little note stating that I agree to the printing of the photos.

It’s annoying but they are only trying to prevent artistic fraud or something more dramatic with children that they could be liable for.

  • This is why it’s always good to DOWNLOAD everything and BACK UP your photos. But yes, most of the time I can resend the album link. But just be careful with your photos, because who knows what can happen and I may not be able to locate them!

  • That’s because most likely I saw your text while I was shooting and have forgotten about it by the end of my shoot day. If you text me your edits you can assume I won’t reply!

Edits, questions, booking your next shoot, etc, MUST BE EMAILED!

Texting is for day of shoot matters. Everything else must go through email. I’m a very busy lady and until the iPhone can figure out how to flag messages (not just pin them) I will only respond to emails to insure nothing gets lost in translation!
